When is the right time for an end of life talk?

Rob Levy over at MedicalExpress.com makes a strong case for having “the talk” with patients during the early stages of a terminal illness and provides some stark facts:

Among the nearly 1,000 patients who passed away and whose records document an end-of-life care discussion with a physician, the median time of those discussions was 33 days before death.
